Teacher. Trainer. Dancer. Photographer. Mother. Mover. Neurd.

A passionate, lifelong student of the body, I have studied extensively in many forms of both dance and yoga. 


I turned to yoga after a serious car accident that left me in chronic pain. Combining movement, breath and mindfulness began the journey to recovery, and led me to over a decade of trainings, workshops and deep personal learning. I thrive on the challenge of tailoring movements and classes to meet my students’ needs and compassionately bring them into a deeper relationship with their own bodies. 

My Contemporary Dance life involved training and working across Canada, with adventures into the US and Mexico.
Fifteen years of teaching yoga and over 25 years in multiple dance trainings and professional performance give me a unique relationship to the body, allowing me to lead classes that draw deeply on these many movement experiences.

 

I encourage a sense of play, exploration, and a desire to live and move with more stability and freedom.
 

I currently offer Tune Up Fitness® CertificationTeacher Trainings as well as YTU Core Immersion, YTU Breath & Bliss Immersion, YTU Shoulders Immersion, YTU Hips Immersion, The Science of Rolling and Ball Sequencing & Innovation.

 

I am a Certified Brain Health Trainer from the Functional Aging Institute and received my Personal Trainer Certification with Caveman Strong.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at Carleton University, after having returned for a Bachelor of Cognitive Science, with a specialization in Neuroscience and Mental Health. My passion for anatomy and the body is now extending to the brain & nervous system and the relationship to mind. 

I was most fortunate to be the "roll model" for the training program: "Rolling Along the Anatomy Trains", an anatomical intensive with the legendary Tom Myers & Jill Miller.
